idagunji temple

Temple
Ganesha is the son of God Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. He has the head of an elephant and the body of a human being. He has large ears, a single tusk, a pot belly, four arms and rides a rat for a vehicle.

Ganesha is the elephant headed Hindu god of wisdom, literature and success. He is called Vighneshvara or Vighnaharta, the Lord of and destroyer of obstacles. People mostly worship Him asking for siddhi (success), and buddhi (intelligence). He is worshipped before any venture is started.

The speciality of the Lord Vinayaka at Idagunji Devasthana is, the Lord Himself is a standing statue with just two hands, the right hand holding "Padma" and the left hand with "Modhaka". It is an amazing sight to see the pleasantly standing Devaru (God), accepting all the sevas and pujas performed by His devotees and blessing everyone with happiness and prosperity.

Please come and visit Vinayaka Devaru at Idagunji, and get his beloved blessings.
